JC Insurance 

JCI has been serving the insurance needs of education employees in California for more than 35 years.

Dick Rahn started the firm in 1963 to address the insurance needs of people working in the field of education - specifically employees of the Community Colleges in California.

Recently JC Insurance has formed a strategic alliance with Affinity Group Underwriters of Richmond, Virginia.

AGU brings a wealth of experience in the insurance industry and assists JCI in bringing new products and services to their established clientele within the California education community. 

Affinity Group Underwriters manages the FACCC program on behalf of the insurer, Life Insurance Company of North America (LINA). AGU is an independent company which creates and operates specialty insurance products for associations, employers and affinity groups.

Portions of the FACCC program may be administered by Towers Affinity Benefit Services (TABS), a division of Towers Administrators, Inc. TABS is a strategic alliance venture of Affinity Group Underwriters, Glen Allen, VA, and Towers Administrators, New York, NY. It was developed to share resources and provide better customer service to clients of both companies.

AGU was founded in 1997 by former executives of major insurance carriers. Towers has been in the association administration business since 1966. The principals and staff of both companies have extensive and diverse experience in the insurance business in general and the affinity group business in particular. Affinity groups are not a sideline with AGU - they are the company’s core market. AGU is truly a "niche" company, clearly focused on identifying and responding to the special needs of affinity groups and their members.

The Life Insurance Company of North America (LINA) is the underwriting company for these insurance products. LINA, a CIGNA Company, has earned high marks from a respected insurance rating service (A.M. Best: A Excellent). CIGNA companies have been providing affordable insurance programs that offer quality and value to millions of members of affinity groups.
